Coconut water is the liquid that is found inside young coconuts before they mature, at which point the water solidifies to form the flesh of the coconut.
The juice is packed with simple sugar, electrolytes, and minerals to replenish hydration levels in the body. This is better than any sugary, unnatural sports drink or bottled fake juice you could buy.
Research studies suggest that cytokinins (e.g., kinetin and trans-zeatin) in coconut water showed significant anti-ageing, and anti-carcinogenic effects.
The best way to drink coconut water is directly from a young coconut, which means buying one and cracking it open. Otherwise all the coconut water that you buy is pasteurized, and it’s ideal to drink it fresh and “uncooked.”
p.s.- Beware of the falvored coconut waters, personally I don’t care for them, and have bought them a few times by accident! The “natural” original is my favorite!
